My role as is to think through what we buy, the risk-reward profile, and the potential income associated with companies and different trades. I look for opportunities and risks that others may need to see. I seek to understand the things that may not be seen on the surface and ask deeper questions about what drives the market, volatility, and return within investments.
Solidarity Capital has been built by combining two distinct skills: The ability to look for and find great businesses and the ability to understand how to generate income to support clients with their goals and needs.
I am always asking questions, and learning and understanding are my passions. My banking, wealth management, investment management, and behavioral finance background has provided a singular perspective on managing income-producing assets for affluent investors.
I began working as a teller in 2005 when I was 21—while also pursuing an accounting degree. While I knew I wasn’t going into the field of accounting, I knew it was an excellent base for business knowledge and understanding of finance. With 16 years of banking and financial industry experience, I have been able to work in various roles as a teller to business banker to regional private banking officer and as a financial advisor.
As my career started in finance, I wanted to understand as much as possible. After completing my accounting degree, I decided to continue my education and obtain my CFP®. When I finished that, I still thought there was more to learn and went back for my master’s in finance and also worked for my Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certificate. With my extensive education and experience, I strive to take a comprehensive vantage point of investing in the markets and securities. By thinking through potential opportunities, I help guide and shape what is most important to our clients.
This depth of knowledge has allowed me to be a versatile advisor to help guide and advise ultra-high-net worth families.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children when not working. I read business, psychology, history, and biography to understand the past and successfully navigate the future.
I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Master’s of Science in Finance from the University of Utah. I am a CFP and also hold my Certified Private Wealth Advisor certificate.
